Summertime, and the livin' is....livin'

Hello all xangans. Another semester has come and gone and Eric still has a 4.0 (I think, see they pushed back the grade release until 4:00 today, which is annoying). Katie and I were talking and we think that since we get punished as students if our homework isn't turned in on time then teachers who don't have the grades ready by the submission deadline should be forced to give all students a passing grade. That seems fair.

But enough about school. I'm excited about the prospects of not having to spend 7 hours of my Sundays getting a session plan for music therapy ready anymore. I worked at a skilled nursing home this semester and got to work with several wonderful residents (and that's about all the details I can give without violating the confidentiality policy). I enjoyed it, but I'm really looking forward to working with children this coming semester and doing in-patient psych the semester after that. I've been told it would be a good population for me to work with. All of that is well and good, but what is getting me nervous is starting to look for an internship site. Yikes, 6 months with no income, most likely not working with a population I want to pursue as a career, and not getting to see my family much .

On a much happier note, Lucy is walking now!!! She'll be 14 months on May 29th and will be a flower girl in my sister's wedding on the 30th. She's growing up way too fast. I know, I know, every parent says that, but it's true. They really do.

Looking forward to the week of July 7th through the 13th because Katie, Lucy and I are going on vacation out to Ohio to see family and friends. We lucked out because everyone in Katie's family from PA and Northeastern Ohio are going to be up in Warren for her cousin's graduation so we'll get to see everyone up there for a couple days and then we'll have more days to see everyone in Cincy. Yay for seeing the Coopers and Walkers and the whole NHCC crew! Peace.

Wow, it's still here

Yup, I haven't been on this in forever, as usual, but it's still right here where I left it. I'm about half way through Christmas break after my first semester at Illinois State University where I'm in the undergraduate Music Therapy program and I'm really enjoying my time off. I like what I'm doing, but man does it keep me busy. It took me until after mid-terms to finally re-adjust to being back in school, but I guess part of it has to do with being married and having a kid and working all while attending full-time, but it was all worth it becaus I got my report card thingy and I've actually got a 4.0! That's never happened before, lol.

I miss all of you guys back in Cincy alot, but I'm learning to settle here a bit better. It's nice that I've got a lot of family around, because without them it would be much harder. I hope everyone is doing well out there, and who knows, I might just end up back out there in Cincy after my internship! Hopefully I'll be able to get back out and visit again before then, lol. Peace.

P.S. I forgot, I was going to give our new addy to anyone who wants it:

Housekeeping

Yeah yeah yeah, I know it's been forever.

Well, I've officially not been a student at Cincinnati Bible College for about 3 months now, and not much has changed. I'm still working at the good ol' photo lab in Fairfield Kroger, so if you need any pictures developed, I'm your man. In other news, there are only about three weeks left until Katie's due date!!! So, yeah I'm getting pretty psyched up for our little one. No we don't know what it is, but that's ok (plus I'm still convinced it's a little girl). For those of you who don't know if it is a little girl it will be named Lucy Elizabeth Gnagey and if it is a boy, it will be Jack Lewis Gnagey (anyone know what the significance is?).

Katie and I have been lucky enough to have both of our days off together this week and we have gotten a long way into packing up our excess belongings and things we don't need to use right now so that when the baby comes we can focus primarily on them until we need to leave. I still can't believe I'm about to be a Dad. I'm very excited, yet scared because I will be responsible for the life and well being of a brand new soul and human being. I'm certainly lucky to have the wonderfully Godly wife I do.

Oh yeah, the school finally cut off delivering mail to my box, so if anyone does need to send snail mail for some reason, our mailing address is 2660 Lehman Road Apt # 205 Cincinnati, OH 45204.

Thanks

Life in general

Hello all of my friends, enemies, muses and nemeses. I haven't been on the ol' xanga blog for quite some time, mainly because of time but also because I couldn't remember my password for the life of me, but I finally reset it and we're back in business. Things have been so freaking crazy that it would take me half an hour to type everything, and I might do that later, but suffice it to say that I'm now married (don't feel bad, nobody was there but Katie, me and our minister Ben) with child on the way and I'm helping to lead the music for the National Missionary Convention this Thursday through Sunday at the Duke Energy Center in Cincinnati, OH along with the rest of the crazy kids/adults in the World Music Ensemble. It's gonna' be freakin' sweet, but intimidating as well since there will be about 10,000 people in the audience. Oh well, God will help me through. Did I mention I have to wear dredlocks and speak in a Jamaican accent? Yeah...
